Dates to mark on your calendars:

*Sun. Feb. 5 – Souper Bowl of Caring – we will collect following both the 9 and 10:30 service.

*Wed. Feb. 8– Regular Youth Group 7:30 Youth Room

*Sun. Feb. 12 – Trip to Sioux Falls leaving the church at 8:30 AM

*Wed. Feb. 15 – Packing Rice Bags at Kids Against Hunger Yankton - we will leave the church at 7:20 PM - please let Diane know by Monday Feb 13th if you plan to go as I need to line up transportation.

*Fri./Sun. Feb. 17/20 – Heather Hirsch, Stephanie Anderson and Diane Kisch will be attending the CCYM (Conference Council on Youth Ministry) winter meeting at Living Waters Retreat Center.

*Wed. Feb. 22 – Ash Wednesday Service at 7:00PM Youth group to follow in the Youth Room

*Fri./Sat. Feb. 24/25– 30 Hour Famine - let Diane know if you are interested in participating

*Sat. Feb 25 – FUMC Turkey Supper - Sr High Youth will be doiing clean following music by "One Way Up" at 8:30PM (parents if you can help that woudl be great.)

*Wed. Feb. 29 – Lent service at 7:30 – youth group following service in the Youth Room.

           

Congratulations to Stephanie Anderson and Layne Droppers on being elected to CCYM (Conference Council on Youth Ministries) for 2012-2013.

    

30 Hour Famine. This is a national drive for hunger combining youth groups from other churches in Yankton to do a community event. This event is rotated, using different churches every other year. In 2012 the Assembly of God Church will host the event. Carla and Dinae will be in charge of the games/activities. Please contact Diane Kisch to register. This year’s service project will include Kids Against Hunger. The registration fee is $25 to cover the cost of bagging rice. Pledges will be taken for the hours the youth will fast. We ask your prayerful participation for this worthy cause!
